We are seeking a skilled Structures Technician to join our team at SpaceX. As a key member of our assembly and integration team, you will play a critical role in the development of our spacecraft and rockets.

Salary and Benefits

Our competitive salary range is between $22.00 and $38.00 per hour, with opportunities for long-term incentives and bonuses. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will also enjoy generous paid time off and holidays.

Responsibilities

The Structures Technician is responsible for:

  • Modifying, repairing, assembling, and installing rocket and spacecraft components and subcomponents
  • Using tooling holes, pilot holes, or by hand (as required), per drawing or tooling instructions
  • Aligning parts and securing them in place using clecos or tooling/hand clamps

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, as well as the ability to visualize three-dimensional shapes from two-dimensional views.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of experience in hardware assembly, test, maintenance, material handling, and/or installation OR a certificate from an accredited trade skills program in A&P, manufacturing, and/or electronics

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience drilling, reaming, honing and/or countersinking straight and close tolerance holes
  • Experience gained through the military or within an aviation manufacturing company
  • Experience using various types of hand tools and/or hand-held power tools, floor-mounted power tools and precision measuring tools
