Commissioning Superintendent

Job Summary

The Commissioning Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the general safety, productivity, schedule, testing, and commissioning of utility-level solar generation facilities. This position reports to the Senior Commissioning & Warranty Manager or another management personnel designated by the CEO. This is a hybrid position, and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Overtime and weekend working hours will be required as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 100%.

Key Responsibilities

Directs solar commissioning personnel and/or subcontractors to achieve completion of the project
Supports the project team with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for activities
Follows and implements the company's Health, Safety & Environmental Policy;
Coordinates and implements resources and activities necessary to maintain safety and quality
Creates and maintains commissioning documentation in accordance with contract requirements
Assures that all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and is in full compliance
Coordinates with supplier testing & commissioning teams
Identifies testing required per project scope of work and ITP
Communicates with engineering parties to meet commissioning requirements

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of professional experience supporting the construction of major projects, preferably in the building of power stations or supply networks, or other utility-scale construction projects
Solar PV, and/or BESS project commissioning experience
Willingness to travel
Experience with Procore or comparable project management tool
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience reviewing electrical drawings and manuals of installation and design technical packages
Attention to detail
Ability to professionally interact with clients and outside testing agencies/subcontractors
Experience operating solar generation facility electrical equipment
Experience with energization procedures and operations of substation equipment

Work Environment

This position is a regular professional, construction site setting. Noise levels range from low to moderate (if in office trailer setting) and moderate to high (if on construction worksite). Flexibility to work night shifts is required.
