About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join our team at MBE CPAs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing for clients, managing work in progress, and corresponding with firm partners.

Responsibilities
  • Billing clients in a timely and accurate manner, including payroll, bookkeeping, consulting, and tax returns.
  • Conducting research on billing questions from clients and reaching out to internal managers as needed.
  • Entering billing and new client information into company software systems.
  • Providing administrative assistance to partners and staff, including front desk coverage.
Requirements
  • Comfortable working daily in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working in a related billing role is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in NetSuite or related billing software is a plus.

Work Schedule

This role supports our office hours of Monday-Friday, 8a-5p. The typical workday is 8.5 hours with a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime is not expected, and during May-September, the office closes at noon on Fridays for summer hours.
