Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Giant Eagle Inc. As a key player in our Bakery, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality products that exceed our customers' expectations. In addition to providing exceptional guest service, you will be responsible for using the finest ingredients to create a diverse selection of baked goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake products according to established recipes and procedures.
- Perform bench work and assemble necessary ingredients for baking operations.
- Insert products into and retrieve products from the freezer to preserve freshness.
- Prepare and fry donuts according to established procedures.
- Provide exemplary customer service by greeting customers and ensuring they are able to locate the products they are looking for.
- Maintain safety and sanitation regulations in all aspects of work.
- Accurately record special orders on Bakery products.
- Assist in maintaining Bakery backroom, cooler, and freezer efficiency.
Requirements
- 6 to 12 months of experience in a Bakery or related industry.
- Successful completion of job-specific skills assessment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Age requirement: at least 18 years old.
