Key Responsibilities:
The PMHNP will deliver psychiatric services to clients, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental health and substance use disorders. This role operates under the supervision of the Medical Director and collaborates with a diverse team to ensure high-quality care.

Clinical Duties:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Diagnose mental health and substance use disorders.
- Create, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medication regimens.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling as needed.
- Track patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
- Complete comprehensive evaluations for new client admissions.

Collaboration and Consultation:
- Work closely with the Medical Director to maintain clinical standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care.
- Offer consultation to clinical staff on psychiatric matters.
- Engage with families and support systems to improve treatment outcomes.

Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate medical records in line with policies and regulations.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal laws regarding psychiatric care.
- Take part in quality assurance and peer review initiatives.

Crisis Management:
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies with appropriate interventions.
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.

Professional Growth:
- Stay updated on advancements in psychiatric care.
- Engage in continuing education and training.
- Maintain necessary licensure and certifications.

Productivity Expectations:
- Achieve a minimum of 63% efficiency, providing 5 hours of direct care daily.
- Monitor productivity metrics to optimize resource use.

Travel Requirements:
- Minimal travel is expected, primarily for local prescriber coverage and professional development.

Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Valid nursing license in the state of Colorado.
- DEA certification for controlled substances.
- Strong understanding of psychiatric disorders and treatment methods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Experience:
- A minimum of three years in a clinical psychiatric setting, with experience in substance use disorders preferred.

Special Skills:
- Expertise in diagnosing and treating various psychiatric disorders.
- Proficiency in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and crisis management skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform routine physical activities, including standing and lifting up to 25 pounds.
