Job Summary

Vertis Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Washington DC. As a Full Time Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with physician orders, utilizing therapeutic procedures to address deficits in self-care skills and daily living abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating patient goals and needs.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans, ensuring accurate and timely records.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, ensuring quality care and efficient delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy or Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy with five years of direct practice experience.
  • Current license/certification in the state of practice.
  • Prefer current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Adequate computer skills to complete required job duties and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs and develop comprehensive plans of care.
