We are currently engaged with a distinguished client in Georgia seeking a skilled Registered Nurse - Compliance and Accreditation Expert.


Position Overview:


Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Quality Performance Improvement, this position is pivotal in ensuring adherence to standards set by regulatory bodies such as the Joint Commission, OSHA, FDA, and the Department of Public Health.


The role encompasses the coordination of certification activities related to disease-specific accreditation, program development, and educational initiatives aimed at maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include overseeing operational processes for data collection, entry, analysis, and timely external data submissions.

Additionally, the position involves generating comprehensive reports and maintaining effective communication with hospital and medical staff to identify, recommend, and implement strategies for quality enhancement.

Core Responsibilities:


- Stay informed on regulatory and accreditation requirements, serving as a knowledgeable resource for clinical and medical personnel.

- Facilitate communication regarding regulatory updates, hospital policies, and safety protocols.

- Act as a liaison with external agencies for data submission.

- Research and adopt new technologies to meet data requirements and enhance quality improvement efforts.

- Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

- Undertake special projects as assigned.

- Achieve established goals and objectives within designated time frames in alignment with the organization's mission.


- Participate in mandatory quality and safety training, articulating responsibilities related to safety protocols and job-specific hazards.


- Ensure a safe patient care environment, consistently reviewing compliance with regulatory standards.


- Collaborate with the education department to prepare, maintain, and audit educational records, leading outreach and education for disease-specific certification.

- Provide community education and support through disease-specific screenings.

- Update patient education materials as necessary.

- Assist in overseeing the Quality, Safety, and Process Improvement program.


Qualifications:

Education:
- Required: Graduate of an Associate's Degree Program in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

Experience:


- A minimum of three years of progressive experience in clinical healthcare is preferred, including at least one year in performance improvement.

- Familiarity with federal, state, and regulatory requirements concerning performance improvement, accreditation, and licensure.


Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia

Skills and Abilities:
- Requires strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently.

- Must be capable of functioning effectively in a high-pressure environment and taking appropriate actions.
