About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury FX Analyst to join our team at Western Union. As a key member of our treasury team, you will be responsible for executing our foreign exchange risk management programs and ensuring we have the right currency in the right place at the right time to meet the needs of our dynamic customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • FX Hedging Program Management: Assist with the management of our FX hedging programs, including monitoring and hedging foreign currency exposures that arise from our core money transfer business.
  • Global FX Market Monitoring: Monitor global wholesale foreign exchange markets to ensure we have accurate and timely FX rates within our core pricing systems.
  • Currency Sourcing and Management: Help manage all foreign exchange bank relationships and ensure efficient sourcing of foreign currencies.
  • Forecasting and Funding: Forecast underlying currency needs and ensure proper funding is in place to facilitate consumer transactions.
  • FX Rate Benchmarking: Manage and benchmark the wholesale FX rates used to price consumer money transfers.
  • Stakeholder Management: Interact with key stakeholder groups, including regional business teams, corporate and settlement accounting teams, and technology teams.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all key SOX controls, global derivative regulatory frameworks, and local currency regulations and capital controls.
  • Process Improvement: Help configure and maintain information in corporate Treasury Workstation and leverage automation and process improvement tools to optimize FX risk hedging, reduce manual work, and minimize errors.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Create and distribute various FX reports to key stakeholder groups.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related subject matter.
  • Experience: Must have experience and firm understanding of foreign exchange markets and hedging instruments.
  • Skills: Demonstrated critical thinking and evaluation skills, strong leadership, problem-solving, relationship management, and communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, strong math skills, and attention to detail.
