We are seeking an experienced Space Systems Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing control systems algorithms and software for various aerospace programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement control system architectures for spacecraft, missiles, and directed energy missions
  • Develop advanced control and stabilization concepts
  • Implement line of sight control and dynamics, orbits, and PNT systems
  • Rejection and compensation of jitter in control systems
  • Target detection, tracking, and filtering using advanced algorithms

Requirements:

  • PhD in a related field with 9-15 years of experience, or Masters with 12-18 years, or Bachelors with 14-20 years
  • Demonstrated experience with control system design and analysis on flight aerospace systems
  • Experience with electro-optical sensors and/or optical systems
  • Mathematical background including linear algebra, matrix math, and 3D coordinate transforms
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Simulink programming languages
  • Real-time software programming skills (C/C++ or similar)
