About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Generator x Freehand Hotels. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance of our building, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order, and providing exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the building's appearance, including replacing broken lamps, fixtures, and fittings, and performing general repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance throughout the property, including front and back of house areas, rooms, and exterior spaces.
  • Ensure guest comfort and satisfaction by addressing any issues promptly and maintaining high standards of decor and paintwork.
  • Manage safety and asset register records, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Take responsibility for equipment maintenance and ensure it is ready for use at all times.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of statutory local legislation and regulations, particularly H&S, building regulations, and Fire Safety.
  • Embed the Generator brand and culture in our social spaces.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues and other departments to create a cohesive team.
Requirements
  • Hands-on attitude with attention to detail.
  • Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift, or carry supplies, equipment, or tools weighing up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
  • Skill in the use of related tools, including hand and electric tools.
