Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm System Specialist to join our team at TEKsystems. As a Fire Alarm System Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and service of fire alarm systems in commercial settings
  • Work with a sense of urgency to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Perform a wide variety of duties, including attending training classes and working with customers to resolve issues
  • Backup other technicians as needed to provide same-day service for overflow
  • Real-time dispatching and closing of service calls via laptop and iPhone
  • Maintaining an accurate inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Effectively communicate with customers and provide high-quality service
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience with installation and pre-wiring of fire alarm systems
  • 2+ years of experience running conduit and bending pipe
  • 2+ years of experience reading blueprints, laying out a job, and working directly with customers to resolve issues
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Excellent phone skills and strong interaction with customers
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements
  • Ability to use personal vehicle for 6-month contractual period
  • Availability for overtime, including weekends
