AvaMed Workforce is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor to join our team in a Full-Time capacity. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to patients in a correctional facility setting.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial mental health evaluations, including assessments of patient needs and treatment recommendations.
- Provide crisis intervention services, including consultation and support to patients and staff.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Conduct clinically sound suicide risk evaluations and provide recommendations for patient care.
- Meet with patients for group psychotherapy, in-person interviews, and other therapeutic sessions.
- Document all care provided to patients, including in-person contacts and Interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with medical personnel, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including Quality Improvement Teams and Root Cause Analysis.
- Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
- Experience working in a correctional facility or similar setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Competitive hourly rate of $50-$53.
- Flexible shifts and hours to accommodate your needs.
