Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Reedsburg Area Medical Center.
Job Summary:The Respiratory Therapist will provide direct patient care, under medical direction, through the use of diagnostic, therapeutic, life support and rehabilitative evaluation methods and techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients with cardiac, pulmonary, neuromuscular and infectious diseases, as well as those with post-surgical or traumatic respiratory deficiencies.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and testing.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Wisconsin or eligible.
- CRT or RRT (or eligible).
- Certifications: ACLS, NRP, PALS (current or within 1 year of hire). BLS (required).
- Meets health requirements.
The Respiratory Therapist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to blood/body fluids and disease requiring PPE. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize and manage stressful situations, and maintain good physical and emotional well-being.
