About the Role

The Nursing Assistant plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in a hospital setting. As a member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for attending to the needs of patients, performing various duties under the supervision of the unit charge person.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver age-appropriate care in accordance with hospital policy and procedures.
  • Answer telephone calls, record necessary information, and route calls or messages to appropriate personnel.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Return all films by the end of the shift.
  • Obtain x-rays and medical records as indicated.
  • Schedule patient appointments with the physician's office, other departments, and follow-up.
  • Use computer systems appropriately to support patient care.
  • Answer telephone calls professionally, screening calls, pulling charts, and relaying messages to appropriate staff.
  • Order entry for radiology and laboratory procedures.
Requirements

Previous experience as a Nurse Assistant in a hospital setting is preferred. Full-time position available.
