Job Summary:


This role requires meeting monthly weekend requirements and picking up full-day shifts on weekdays.

This is a professional-level position involving patient disability evaluation, treatment planning, and administration. Incumbents complete documentation, instruct patients, families, and students, and participate in clinical program development and management. Work is performed under general supervision with all treatments prescribed by a physician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select and perform appropriate physical therapy evaluation procedures to identify and assess problems. Set treatment goals and devise a treatment plan. Re-evaluate and adjust the PT treatment plan in response to the patient's changing condition and discharge plans.
  • Manage resources needed to perform PT treatment plans to accomplish goals set for the patient.
  • Complete PT documentation in the medical record per department guidelines and complete department records for billing and statistics.
  • Manage PT caseload with efficiency and efficacy.
  • Provide clinical supervision and teaching for PT students or staff. Plan orientation, caseload, and other learning activities. Provide regular feedback and coaching. Evaluate the learner's performance.
  • Plan and coordinate clinical programs in response to patient needs, technologies, clinical practices, regulations, and reimbursement. Provide regular communication with physicians, supervisors, and others regarding PT programs and patients served.
Other Information

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Licensed as a physical therapist in the state of North Carolina.
  • BLS certification.

Professional Experience Requirements:

  • No prior experience required.
