We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Technician to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our Remediation & Reclamation Operations team, you will be responsible for performing work in an industrial environment that may include the preparation, assembly, configuration, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning of testing and production facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine work and facility operations using standard procedures
- Operate equipment such as fork trucks, yard spotters, and waste processing equipment
- Work with materials including radioactive, hazardous, and non-radioactive materials
To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or Journeyman's papers in a related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills- Experience operating equipment and tools safely
- Knowledge in construction-demolition a plus
