Job Overview:

The City of Portage seeks a highly skilled Urban Infrastructure Specialist to oversee the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects. This role requires strong technical expertise in civil engineering, project management, and leadership skills to drive team success.

Salary Range: $57,800-$78,200 per annum, commensurate with experience, with an attractive benefits package.

About the Job:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and have at least 3 years of experience in infrastructure project planning and management. The ability to prepare detailed plans, estimates, and reports is essential. Additionally, experience with soil erosion and project management principles is desirable. Certification as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) is mandatory, while Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and manage infrastructure projects, including public and private sanitary sewers, water systems, streets, and storm sewer improvements.
- Prepare accurate plans, estimates, and reports for infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
