Radiology Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiological exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment.

About the Position

As a Radiology Technologist, you will work under general supervision and follow established policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care. You will verify patient identity, review medical records, and assess risk factors to provide safe and effective care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic radiological exams using various imaging equipment
  • Verify patient information, review medical records, and assess risk factors
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, risks, and benefits
  • Maintain accurate records of patient data and exam results
  • Collaborate with radiologists to interpret images and provide timely reports
  • Participate in process improvement activities to enhance patient care and workflow
Requirements:
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
