Job Overview

Kaiyuh Services, LLC is seeking a full-time Cook II to join our team. As an integral part of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, cost-effective food services and safety to our clients. This position requires meal-planning, food-preparation, purchasing, inventory management, daily paperwork, safety protocols, general sanitation of the kitchen, cleanliness, organization, and supervision of staff.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position is approximately $50,690, based on an hourly rate of $24.42 and a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare healthy and creative breakfast, lunch, and dinner options with attention to quality.
  • Minimize costs by optimizing portion control and efficiency in food preparation.
  • Supervise and assist the daily activities of the kitchen staff to ensure timely completion of tasks with attention to detail and overall quality of end results.
  • Maintain good public relations with clients, residents, and coworkers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of supervisory experience and successful cooking for groups of 30 or more preferred.
  • ServSafe certification and Alaska Food Handlers Card required.
  • PREFERRED: baking experience, waste management experience, and proficiency in cooking all protein types.
