About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attorney Advisor to join our team at FEMA. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and support to our disaster recovery efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to FEMA leadership and staff on disaster recovery and emergency management issues.
  • Analyze and interpret federal and state statutes, regulations, and policies to ensure compliance and provide informed legal advice.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to support FEMA's disaster recovery efforts.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date on changing laws and regulations to ensure FEMA's compliance and provide expert advice.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time legal experience, with a focus on emergency management and disaster recovery.
  • Specialized experience in analyzing and interpreting federal and state statutes, regulations, and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide sound legal advice.
