As a Maintenance Supervisor at Kayem Foods, you will be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted continuity of our facility, manufacturing, and support systems. You will support, monitor, and expand Preventive/predictive Maintenance throughout all facility systems and machinery.

You will represent the company as a management team member, advancing the goals of Safety, Quality, and Productivity in a food manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for implementing and supervising Kayem's safety and BRC programs, and may serve as a member of the Safety committee.

You will review ongoing efficiencies of manufacturing and support systems throughout the facility and make recommendations for improvements in production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. You will implement improvements as necessary.

You will directly lead, assign, and direct work, and evaluate team members' job performance, including overall job proficiency, adherence to company rules, policies, and professional standards. You will reward, coach, and resolve issues and complaints. You will schedule team members to ensure that sufficient resources are available during production hours. You will interview and train team members.

You will coach and train team members in proper troubleshooting techniques, maintenance, and repair of plant systems. You will develop team members to enable professional advancement.

You will utilize and ensure utilization of the CMMS system by team members, including work orders, purchase orders, inventory control, maintenance, and equipment history.

You will troubleshoot and repair controls systems, including network problems associated with PCs, PLCs, and various machine interfaces.

You will utilize knowledge and troubleshooting techniques with electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, variable speed controllers, robotics, automated packaging machinery, process equipment, including pumps, valves, meters, and mixing equipment.

You will perform repairs and lead team members in diagnosing malfunctions or optimization of machinery and equipment and direct team members engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing machinery.

You will be responsible to ensure all preventive maintenance is executed timely and properly, including routine audits of PMs and WOs.

You will confer with other Supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

You will be responsible for meeting the Maintenance Repair Budget and Building & Repair Budget.

You will work closely with outside vendors to help resolve equipment issues related to production.

You will perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years industrial maintenance experience and 2 years of maintenance supervision.

Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs of industrial equipment and facilities, including working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and facility systems (hot water, compressed air, refrigeration).

Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and repair instructions.

Knowledge of PLCs is required.

Thoroughness, follow-through, and accuracy.

Requires strong communication skills (interpersonal, written, and verbal).

Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence, speak, coach, and lead maintenance team and essential team members in the organization.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume (ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry).

Capable of defining problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to learn new information quickly (i.e., maintenance and administrative technology, significant initiatives, and goals).

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
