Job Summary:
Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Expanded Functions Dental Technician to join our team.

As an Expanded Functions Dental Technician, you will assist in surgical and dental procedures, meeting the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range on your assigned clinical area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Places and removes dental rubber dams.
  • Places and removes dental matrices and wedges.
  • Applies cavity liners and bases.
  • Places, condenses, carves and contours amalgam restorations.
  • Places and finishes composite resin restorations.
  • Places and finishes sealant material.
  • Fabricates and cements temporary crowns; selects, contours and cements crown forms.
  • Performs coronal polishing and applies fluoride and varnishes.
  • Selects and cements orthodontic bands and brackets.
  • Places temporary restorations.
  • Assists during emergency situations.
  • Takes impressions of teeth for study models, diagnostic casts, or athletic appliances.

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)

Experience:
