Lennar, a leading builder of new homes in the United States, is seeking a skilled Purchasing Estimator to join our team. As a Purchasing Estimator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and value of our homes, while contributing to our mission of inclusivity and diversity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create accurate and detailed material take-offs for all existing, new, and revised plans
  • Maintain the take-offs of all active plans
  • Interact with Purchasing and Operations departments to verify take-off change requests
  • Analyze plans for cost analysis recommendations and research cost of proposed design ideas
  • Assist in the review of material EPO requests to ensure in accordance with take-offs and scopes of work
  • Complete take-offs as needed due to special projects and specification changes
  • Field verification of actual quantities vs. quantity take offs

Requirements

  • 2 years of residential construction/architecture experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
  • Full understanding of residential construction, architectural, structural, & MEP design
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially in the use of Excel spreadsheets and formulas for financial modeling
  • Ability to work with JD Edwards, Build Pro, and other proprietary software
  • Proficient in performing multiple, detailed-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines
  • Strong writing and organization skills
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and loyalty
  • Team player with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to take initiative and achieve objectives with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented and a problem solver able to deal with complex situations
