About the Role
Lennar, a leading builder of new homes in the United States, is seeking a skilled Purchasing Estimator to join our team. As a Purchasing Estimator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and value of our homes, while contributing to our mission of inclusivity and diversity.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate and detailed material take-offs for all existing, new, and revised plans
- Maintain the take-offs of all active plans
- Interact with Purchasing and Operations departments to verify take-off change requests
- Analyze plans for cost analysis recommendations and research cost of proposed design ideas
- Assist in the review of material EPO requests to ensure in accordance with take-offs and scopes of work
- Complete take-offs as needed due to special projects and specification changes
- Field verification of actual quantities vs. quantity take offs
Requirements
- 2 years of residential construction/architecture experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
- Full understanding of residential construction, architectural, structural, & MEP design
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially in the use of Excel spreadsheets and formulas for financial modeling
- Ability to work with JD Edwards, Build Pro, and other proprietary software
- Proficient in performing multiple, detailed-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines
- Strong writing and organization skills
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and loyalty
- Team player with the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to take initiative and achieve objectives with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented and a problem solver able to deal with complex situations

- Competitive annual salary range of $66,000 - $81,713, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors
