Financial Reporting Manager at Del Monte Fresh Produce

Position Overview:

The Financial Reporting Manager will play a crucial role in the finance department, directly reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting. This position is responsible for the preparation of the annual Form 10-K and quarterly Form 10-Q filings. Key tasks include the creation of consolidated financial statements, footnote disclosures, and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A). The role also involves researching technical accounting matters, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations, and supporting Investor Relations with precise earnings releases.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of external financial reports, including SEC Form 10-Q and 10-K
  • Review communications for investors to guarantee accuracy
  • Support XBRL tagging of financial documents
  • Help in the preparation of cash flow statements and financial statements for employee benefit plans
  • Contribute to assessments of goodwill/intangible assets and conduct impairment reviews
  • Collaborate with auditors and respond to audit inquiries
  • Perform financial statement analysis and prepare necessary schedules
  • Engage in areas such as derivatives, share-based compensation, and earnings per share calculations
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and lead improvement initiatives
  • Conduct accounting research and draft technical memoranda
  • Participate in special projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including public accounting
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
