Job Overview

LewisGale Medical Center seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient-centered care in our Medical Surgical Oncology Unit.

About the Role

This role involves assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and ensuring thorough documentation of care administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promptly identifying and reporting changes in patient status, performing procedures as ordered by medical providers, and providing exceptional care by responding to patient requests and needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, documenting care administration thoroughly in patients' medical records.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take action in case of an unintended response.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding to patient requests, anticipating patient needs, and resolving them promptly.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Compensation Package

$85,000 - $115,000 per year.
