We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer II (C2) to join our team at Applied Materials, the global leader in materials engineering solutions. About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy troubleshooting hardware, solving complex problems, and making equipment work better. As a Field Service Engineer, you will work in our state-of-the-art facility and at customer sites around the globe, representing Applied Materials as the face of the company and an integral part of a vibrant and diverse team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to install leading-edge customer equipment, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and upgrade equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow established procedures and published task plans to test equipment and diagnose/resolve technical issues.
  • Complete required job documentation, safety training, and procedures for processing parts.
  • Represent Applied Materials professionally to customers, upholding our 'customer-first' mindset.
  • Meet company and customer requirements, including safety, environmental, and COVID-19 guidelines.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • An associate degree or completion of military technical training and field experience equivalent to an associate's degree.
  • 2–4 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry or another equipment support industry.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Clear and effective written/verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on documenting details.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
  • Knowledge of hand tools and proper usage, including a digital multimeter.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport.

Physical Requirements:

  • Support rotational shifts, including nights and weekends, based on customer needs.
  • Travel for training and alternate customer sites, with potential international travel.
  • Ability to:
    • Walk extensively.
    • Stand for extended periods.
    • Work in tight spaces.
    • Bend, squat, twist, kneel, and reach.
    • Climb stairs and ladders.
    • Lift up to 35 pounds.
    • Distinguish between colors.
    • Work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise.
    • Use hand and power tools.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
