Travel Nurse RN Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Nurse RN to join our team at Travel Nurse Source.
About the JobThis is a day shift position, working 7AM-7:30PM, 3x12. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality professional nursing care as a member of the healthcare team to the patient population served by the office.
Key Responsibilities- Implement departmental nursing procedures and demonstrate nursing knowledge and skills by providing high-quality comprehensive patient care in an ambulatory setting.
- Coordinate and prioritize patient care activities and flow of patient data.
- Utilize effective communication with office staff, providers, patients, and their family members to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Maintain working knowledge of established policies and procedures within the organization as well as office-specific policies and procedures.
- Work independently, effectively, and efficiently within established guidelines.
- Conduct appropriate assessments, observations, and collections of data as well as evaluate, record, and report symptoms and patients' progress.
- Assist and/or perform prescribed procedures in compliance with provider's orders.
- Conduct, perform, and label appropriate laboratory tests.
- Complete job responsibilities in a professional, timely manner.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of equipment and its use.
- Coordinate patient care activities and the flow of patient information by effective communication with other office staff, providers, patients, families, and a variety of healthcare agencies and appropriate documentation to ensure continuity of care.
- Demonstrate critical thinking in prioritizing patient care.
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively with providers, staff, and patients to assist in identifying and solving problems.
- Assist with orientation of new staff.
- Conduct appropriate and timely documentation of patients' concerns, problems, and/or symptoms in medical records.
- Assist or perform prescribed treatments/procedures ordered by the provider to help with patients' plan of care.
- Competent to perform all phases of procedural care.
- Assist in education and support of residents and students.
- Schedule and pre-authorize procedures.
- Provide patient education through the application of teaching-learning principles appropriate to the age and needs of the patient population served by the office.
- Utilize appropriate resources to instruct patients and families.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills of age-appropriate care.
- Assure information and data are indicative of the patient's learning capabilities.
- Interpret information relative to the age-specific needs of patients.
- Ensure maintenance of a therapeutic and teaching environment that promotes effective and cost-efficient patient care.
- Assist in education and support of resident providers/fellows.
- Promote a professional and congenial work environment.
- Conduct effective, efficient, and timely telephone triage calls.
- Maintain a clean and safe therapeutic work environment by applying policies and principles related to care of the environment, safety, and infection control.
- Assist in quality improvement.
- Participate in educational opportunities and meetings to enhance job skills and increase knowledge.
- Assume a leadership role by acting as a clinical resource person within the office setting.
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
- Writes, reads, comprehends, and speaks fluent English.
- Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.
- Multicultural sensitivity.
- Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
- Maintain confidential information.
- Ability to communicate only the facts to recipients or to decline to reveal information.
- Ability to project a professional, friendly, helpful demeanor.
