Job Summary:

The Optometric Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and performing a range of tasks to support the smooth operation of our optical center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-screening exams and testing to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic work area and examination room, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Complete patient visual histories and prepare referrals, follow-up paperwork, and associated tasks with precision and attention to detail.
  • Assist in ordering eyewear and repairs, and help patients select frames according to their insurance allowance.
  • Dispense eyewear and maintain proper inventory, ensuring seamless customer service and efficient operations.
  • Follow policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the optical center, and complete additional projects and duties as assigned or necessary.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current/valid BLS certification, or must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the optical/tech field, preferred.
Preferred Skills:
  • Effective team player.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Outstanding oral and written communications skills.
  • Bilingual, preferred.
  • Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
