Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled LPN Medication Technician to join our team. As a Medication Care Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.
Responsibilities:- Administer medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner
- Review and document medication administration records
- Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to ensure accurate medication management
- Conduct Service and Health Updates as directed by the RCD
- Participate in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISP)/Individualized Care Plans (ICP)
- Transcribe orders and maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with OSHA/British Columbia Workers Compensation Act and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requirements
- Practice safety procedures at all times, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures
- LPN, LVN, or state/province specific licensed nurse credential
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents
- Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
