Yard Driver

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Yard Driver to join our team at Kenco Logistics Services, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trailers within our distribution center.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Safely maneuver trailers to assigned dock/yard spaces and engage dock locks as needed.
2. Organize trailers on the warehouse yard to optimize efficiency.
3. Use yard spotting equipment to guide trailers into place.
4. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard tractor and document findings.
5. Monitor and control trailer movements using YMS or other tools.
6. Provide support with refueling yard tractors and operating forklifts as needed.
7. Communicate effectively with office staff to coordinate trailer movements and minimize downtime.
8. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and adhere to company policies.
9. Identify and report any potential safety hazards or incidents.
10. Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management.

What We're Looking For:

• A valid Class A CDL with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.

Salary Estimate: $52,000 - $68,000 annually.
