Mirion Technologies (Canberra), Inc. is seeking a skilled Semiconductor Fabrication Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and fabricating germanium and silicon-based crystals into functional radiation detection sensors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute work orders to shape and polish germanium crystals and perform chemical etching using acids.
• Electroplate crystal surfaces and inspect them for damage.
• Maintain equipment and machinery, and record data and maintenance records.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist in executing regular inventory audits and cleaning and organizing work areas.
• Under supervision, operate ion implanter and vacuum deposition equipment, and test finished crystals.

Requirements:

• Ability to measure accurately and knowledge of the metric system.
• Basic algebra level math skills and ability to handle chemicals per defined procedures and safety standards.
• Ability to setup and operate machinery and understanding basic electrical concepts.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Preferred Requirements:

• A keen eye for detail inspection and inspection experience, including some microscope usage.
• Ability to execute daily assigned work orders and under supervision, operate vacuum deposition equipment and ion implanter equipment.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
