Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

Reding Inc is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and support to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Create a positive customer experience by completing services correctly and efficiently.
  • Present professionally to customers and communicate effectively.
  • Mentor and develop apprentices to achieve desired performance metrics.
  • Perform thorough and accurate HVAC inspections and communicate findings to customers.
  • Complete all required documentation and collect fees.
  • Facilitate orders for parts and ensure preparedness for appointments.
  • Record material used and consumed for job costing and replenishing.
  • Work with manager/dispatch to schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Transport materials and tools to job sites and maintain a clean and stocked truck.
  • Protect customers' homes from damage and leave them cleaner than when arrived.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure job objectives are met.
  • Communicate the benefits of Club Memberships.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Preferably 3 years of HVAC service experience.
  • Knowledge of industry equipment, field concepts, practices, procedures, tools, and equipment.
  • Strong relationship building skills, customer focused, and disciplined.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Function in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and approved to drive by Company's insurance carrier.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in indoor/outdoor conditions with varying temperatures and elements.
  • Climb ladders and steep stairs.
  • Stand, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, sit, and reach for extended periods.
  • Work in tight spaces such as attics and crawlspaces.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items with assistance.
  • Occasionally work from heights 15 feet or higher above ground.
