Position Objective:

Deliver educational services to students to enhance their academic performance. Collaborate closely with faculty, healthcare professionals, home school districts, and students to assess needs and identify necessary educational resources. Act as a liaison between Jackson Recovery Centers and home school districts to ensure students have the best chance of returning to school successfully. Maintain continuity of educational services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, in accordance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications/Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Valid teaching license with a secondary education endorsement.
  • Special education certification/endorsement is mandatory.
  • Preferred: Two years of classroom teaching experience.
  • Proficient in behavioral management strategies.
  • Ability to coordinate and deliver academic instruction effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Adhere to scheduled hours for assigned duties.
2. Design and implement activities and exercises to promote academic improvement.

3. Assess students' needs for additional support and make referrals as necessary.
4. Participate as a member of the Treatment Team as required.

5. Foster a positive learning environment while upholding standards of student behavior.
6. Comply with all principles established by the Jackson Recovery Centers Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
7. Provide exceptional customer service consistently to all clients.
8. Serve as a role model for colleagues and clients, demonstrating positive interactions and relationships.

Work Schedule:

  • Day shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Full-time - 40 hours per week
  • Twelve-month position
