Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team at the W Dallas hotel. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, air conditioning, and refrigeration units.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate complex equipment, including pumps, motors, and pool heaters, while adhering to company standards and local/national codes.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, requisition parts and supplies as needed, and implement cost-saving measures to optimize budget allocation.
  • Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Guest Services: Respond promptly to guest requests, communicate effectively, and deliver personalized service to ensure an exceptional experience.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, plus vocational or technical training in general maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver's license, Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification, and compliance with state and federal certification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration, with a focus on parts inventory management and exterior/interior surface preparation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, guests, and vendors.
Working Conditions
  • Work environment: Fast-paced hotel setting with varying temperatures, humidity levels, and noise conditions.
  • Lifting/carrying: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier loads with assistance.
  • Physical demands: Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
