Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to support our logistics operations at Reefer Peterbilt. The role involves managing inventory and ensuring efficient warehouse processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the movement of goods and materials within the warehouse
  • Handle fragile items with care to prevent damage
  • Prepare inventory for shipping and receiving
  • Organize and categorize stock in designated areas
  • Accurately package and label products
  • Notify management of any damaged or missing items
  • Efficiently stack and arrange bulk products
  • Utilize necessary equipment for warehouse operations, including hand jacks and forklifts
  • Unload shipments from trucks for distribution
  • Transport materials to designated pick-up zones or other locations
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Ensure the warehouse is orderly and free from hazards
  • Act as a backup driver for local deliveries when required
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Demonstrated experience in warehouse operations
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and systems
  • Knowledge of contemporary warehousing techniques, including cycle counting and inventory oversight
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to learn forklift operation as necessary
  • Possession of a valid chauffeur's license with a clean driving record
  • Successful completion of a DOT pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check is mandatory
