Azimuth Corporation is in search of a seasoned Lead Simulation Engineer to support a key Air Force initiative. The successful candidate will
offer specialized knowledge and assist the Government in the verification, validation, and accreditation processes for both new and modified simulation models.
Key responsibilities for this position encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Providing senior-level engineering services in modeling and simulation
  • Offering technical guidance and leadership to the engineering team
  • Implementing unit tests for all software development tasks, utilizing a microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and containerization to the fullest extent
  • Utilizing approved Government systems to maintain capabilities for modeling, simulation, and analysis of the GBSD baseline, while evaluating all GBSD subsystems (including guidance, ground, propulsion, and reentry systems)
  • Creating a comprehensive verification and validation strategy for all models and simulations
Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience with a BS Degree, or 7 years with a MS Degree, or 4 years with a PhD degree
  • A degree in an engineering discipline
  • Experience and/or certification in Systems Engineering
  • At least 3 years of progressive responsibility in a technical leadership role
  • Proficiency in C++, MATLAB, and Simulink programming
  • Understanding of RF threat modeling
  • Familiarity with AFSIM, ESAMS, and JWS
  • Possession of an active Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications
  • Professional Engineering License is preferred
Physical Requirements / Travel
  • Ability to work in an office setting at a desk and computer.
  • Potential travel of approximately 10% for conferences, program reviews, industry meetings, or other collaborative engagements, primarily within the continental United States.
