Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Director to lead our bridal boutique in Falls Church, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our store, driving sales, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee and manage all aspects of daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, staffing, and scheduling.
    • Ensure the store maintains impeccable visual merchandising standards, including window displays and in-store presentations.
    • Implement and enforce store policies and procedures to maintain efficiency and compliance.
  • Team Leadership
    • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of sales associates and alterations staff.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to ensure team members achieve their full potential.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Customer Service Excellence
    • Foster a customer-focused environment where every client receives exceptional service and personalized attention.
    • Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Sales and Inventory Management
    • Drive sales and meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.

    • Conduct regular inventory counts and implement inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage.
  • Bridal Consultations and Styling
    • Conduct bridal consultations and assist clients in selecting their gown and accessories.
    • Provide expert advice on fit, style, and customization options, ensuring each client's vision is realized.
  • Event Coordination
    • Plan and coordinate trunk shows, designer showcases, and promotional events to drive foot traffic and sales.
    • Collaborate with the team to create compelling promotions and marketing campaigns.
  • Budget and Financial Management
    • Analyze sales reports and financial data to make informed decisions and optimize profitability.
  • Quality Control and Alterations
    • Ensure all dresses and accessories meet quality standards before being presented to clients.
    • Coordinate alterations appointments and work closely with seamstresses to ensure timely and accurate alterations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience
    • Proven experience as a Store Manager or similar managerial role in the retail industry, preferably within bridal or high-end fashion.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
    • Knowledge of bridal fashion trends, designers, and garment construction.
  • Certifications
    • Relevant certifications in retail management or fashion merchandising are a plus.
  • Knowledge
    • Proficient in inventory management and retail software systems.
    • Understanding of sales analysis and financial reporting.
  • Key Competencies
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate store events and client appointments.
