Job Description

In response to increased demand for data center design and delivery, Oracle is seeking a Senior Data Center Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical design efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage electrical design initiatives for data center projects, ensuring compliance with Oracle's standards and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement electrical design solutions that meet Oracle's requirements.
  • Provide expert input on electrical system design, including power generation, storage, and delivery, as well as grounding, lightning protection, and fire alarm systems.
  • Develop and maintain electrical design standards and guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality across all data center projects.
  • Contribute to the development of training programs for junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure a high level of technical proficiency.
  • Participate in contract administration, including the review and negotiation of contracts, change orders, and cost forecasts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
Requirements
  • Expert-level knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong understanding of data center design and operations, including electrical systems, power distribution, and cooling systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
