**Job Summary**

Amergis is seeking a skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering first aid to injured or ill employees, analyzing tasks for potential safety issues, and participating in the workers' compensation process.

Job Description**

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Medical Care Specialist. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be working closely with our safety and leadership teams to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities**

  1. Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to outside medical providers as needed.
  2. Maintain all records of care given to employees.
  3. Maintain first-aid kits, inventory supplies, restock, and clean equipment used in the care of employees.
  4. Contact outside medical providers as needed to schedule appointments and clarify restrictions or arrange further treatment.
  5. Train employee volunteers in First Aid, CPR, AED, and Blood-Borne Pathogen training.
  6. Provide daily end-of-shift reports to the Safety and Leadership team.
  7. Participate in weekly Site Case Management Review meetings with HR, Risk Management, and Safety.
  8. Provide analysis of all incidents on a monthly basis and make recommendations for risk reductions on workplace injuries.
  9. Participate in incident investigations as needed.
  10. Develop a return-to-work Physical Demands Assessment for each task.
  11. Participate in the facilitation of random drug testing.
  12. Learn every job function in the facility to fully understand ergonomic risk factors.
  13. Frequent floor time is required to better understand the needs of operations.

Requirements**

  • 1+ years of experience as a full-time EMT responding to emergency calls.
  • Current and valid EMT Certification from the Department of Health for the state you are practicing in.
  • Current BLS card, ACLS/PALS per contract requirement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Full command, verbal and written, of the English Language.
  • Must meet all of Amergis' pre-employment screening requirements.

Benefits**

Amergis offers a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, and provides a range of benefits, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 401(k) savings plan and awards and recognition programs.
