About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Abode Hospice and Home Health. As a Hospice Aide, you will play a vital role in providing personal care services to patients in their homes, supporting them in their end-of-life journey.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as assigned
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and ambulation
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the Case Manager
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
  • Assist with light housekeeping and laundry tasks
  • Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities
Requirements
  • Meets the training requirements of the State
  • Completed a minimum of seventy-five hours of classroom and supervised practical training
  • Minimum of six months experience in providing personal care
  • At least eighteen years of age
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
  • Understands hospice philosophy and is comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill
