We are seeking a skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at Southern Regional Medical Center. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for leading the nursing staff in the Emergency Department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff in the Emergency Department
- Assess patient care delivery and quality of care/documentation on a consistent basis
- Direct staff members to make immediate changes in the plan of care, as appropriate to ensure patient safety and adherence to regulatory guidelines
- Interview patients/families on admission and during rounds to enhance positive patient experiences
- Collaborate with other department managers/supervisors to ensure smooth coordination of services to patients
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Previous supervisory experience, preferred
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting preferred
