Job Title: ALM Portfolio Management Associate Director

At PNC, we are seeking an experienced portfolio management and balance sheet analytics director to join our ALM Investments team. As an Associate Director, you will be based in New York, NY, and will be responsible for managing PNC's $175+ billion-dollar fixed income and derivatives portfolio, representing over 25% of PNC Bank's total assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain advanced fixed income and financial analytics models to support portfolio management and risk analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to produce monthly securities and swaps interest income forecasts and broader balance sheet forecasting and reporting.
  • Assist with portfolio stress testing efforts, including CCAR and portfolio scenario analysis.
  • Develop and maintain Python-based tools to support portfolio management and interest rate risk management.
  • Build and maintain financial models and databases to support day-to-day operations of the ALM Investments team.
  • Review research publications, annual reports, and other sources to gather, synthesize, and interpret data on PNC's peer group.
Requirements:
  • Quantitatively focused undergraduate or graduate degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of finance and banking industry experience, with some knowledge of bank balance sheet management.
  • Experience with BlackRock's Aladdin, Bloomberg, or similar fixed income risk and valuation systems.
  • Operating knowledge of fixed income mathematics, portfolio theory, analytical models, forecasting, and planning.
  • Strong Office skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with senior management.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and take ownership of required duties.
  • Programming skills in Python, SQL, and VBA preferred.
  • Large data management experience a plus.
