Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to take on the full-time role of Sustainable Building Advisor. The Sustainable Building Advisor will engage in various activities related to LEED, Enterprise Green Communities, and National Green Building Standard certifications across diverse construction projects.

This role involves consulting on and overseeing the certification processes for projects under these standards, collaborating closely with design professionals and contractors throughout the design and construction phases. The Sustainable Building Advisor will frequently partner with ReVireo's energy modeling, commissioning, and field inspection teams to ensure successful delivery of certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting technical design evaluations and creating scorecards for targeted certifications
  • Facilitating collaborative meetings to gather insights from owners and design teams regarding certification strategies
  • Providing expert technical assistance to design teams, including architects and engineers, addressing inquiries related to certification
  • Developing supporting documentation for certification applications
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, including owners, design teams, contractors, energy modelers, and certification agents, to compile necessary documentation
  • Registering projects with certification bodies and managing the submission of all required documentation
  • Setting up projects in internal systems and tracking billing for consulting services

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience with at least one of the following green building certifications:

LEED

Enterprise Green Communities

National Green Building Standard

  • Preferred credentials include LEED Green Associate / AP or NGBS Verifier
  • A degree in a related field is preferred
  • A strong passion for sustainable building practices and enhancing the built environment
  • Exceptional organizational and communication abilities
  • A willingness to learn and develop new competencies
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively and a readiness to undertake diverse assignments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting salary is a minimum of $80,000 per year, negotiable based on experience and qualifications, with annual performance evaluations
  • Profit-sharing plan of 10% of net profits allocated based on performance
  • Comprehensive benefits package including generous paid time off, immediate vesting 401k with 5% match, health insurance with 50% premium contribution, parental leave, professional development stipend, remote work flexibility, and paid volunteer time
