Job Summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a skilled Production Technician to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for setting up, aligning, monitoring, and calibrating production equipment. You will also assist in performing maintenance on machines and cleaning up minor chemical spills in assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical malfunctions, and repair or replace worn or defective parts and components.
  • Report any machine malfunctions that cannot be repaired to designated individuals and recommend equipment modifications to achieve improved operation.
  • Adjust automatic and semi-automatic machines to produce quality parts, and install, adjust, remove, and replace various machine stations and components.
  • Consult with designated individuals on electrical malfunctions or repairs for course of action.
  • Prepare machine production and maintenance documentation.
  • Maintain certification to operate powered lifts.
  • Use a variety of small hand tools and maintain them in good working order.
  • Assist with operating machines as required.
  • Comply with statutory responsibility under national/federal regulations, and take reasonable care of your own health, safety, and welfare, as well as that of teammates.
  • Follow established EH&S procedures and policies, and encourage teammates to follow them.
  • Participate in EH&S activities, such as root cause analysis, finding solutions, implementing improvements, inspections, and meetings.
  • Complete and remain up-to-date on required EH&S training.
  • Follow all ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA, and plant/corporate standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed.
  • Report all safety incidents, hazards, and potential unsafe working conditions.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience, preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Understanding of FDA regulations surrounding the manufacturing of medical devices, and GMPs, preferred.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools, preferred.
