About the Role

Become a Medical Support Specialist at BioLife, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of plasma donations. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility by conducting medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing.
  • Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
  • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed for guidance on medical or technical issues.
  • Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
  • Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required.
What You Bring
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate degree from a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
  • Current licensure or certification as an EMT-Paramedic in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
  • Current CPR and AED certification.
  • Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
  • Satisfactorily complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists.
  • Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated hourly wage range for this position is $21.15-$29.09, depending on qualifications, experience, and location. U.S.-based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives and benefits, including medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and company match.
