The Castro Animal Hospital (TCAH) operates as a thriving five-doctor facility located in a vibrant neighborhood. Our practice is strategically positioned to meet the high demand for veterinary services in the local community. Our staff is committed to delivering top-notch care to our patients.
Compensation: $40.00 / hour
Qualifications: A minimum of one year of veterinary clinical experience is required.
Key Skills:
- Effective restraint techniques for dogs and cats
- IV catheter placement proficiency
- Venipuncture skills (jugular, cephalic, medial/lateral saphenous)
- Experience with in-house IDEXX laboratory procedures
- Radiographic skills
- Knowledge of veterinary pharmacology
- Medication dosage calculations
- Administration of medications via various routes
- Anesthesia induction (R.V.T.)
- Intubation (R.V.T.)
- Surgical monitoring capabilities
- Excellent client communication and education skills (both written and verbal)
- Understanding of medical terminology and the ability to interpret medical records
