As a Pediatric Nurse at Avera, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team built on teamwork, compassion, and the goal of Moving Health Forward for you and our patients.

Career Growth and Development
You will have the opportunity to go beyond licensure and employment requirements and become nationally certified. As a nurse in the Med/Surgical/Pediatrics Department, you will be knowledgeable in the care of the following age groups and maintain RN clinical competency in these groups: Infant, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Sr. Adult, and Geriatric. All nursing care functions/responsibilities are based on the ANA standards. You will adhere to the Nursing Code of Ethics, Avera's Mission, and Avera's Service Excellence Standards. You will attend all mandatory hospital and departmental meetings and in-services. Six weekends required annually.
