Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ER Nurse to join our team at Genesis Medical Center - Silvis - TT. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, utilizing the nursing process to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform triage, considering both physical and psychosocial elements, to prioritize patient care.
  • Manage basic life support needs, stabilizing patients until the attending physician is available, in accordance with nursing standards and protocol.
  • Record patients' current vital signs and maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Work directly under physicians, assisting with exams, diagnostic testing, and treatments.
  • Prepare and administer medications, as prescribed, and record adverse reactions in accordance with policy.
  • Provide IV therapy, wound care, and basic bedside care, maintaining proper supplies and equipment.
  • Initiate patient education plans, as prescribed by physicians, teaching patients and significant others how to manage their illness or injury.
  • Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with current licensure in good standing.
  • Evidence of minimum one year of recent hospital experience in the ER.
  • Evidence of current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, NIHSS preferred.
