Job Summary:
As a Mental Health Therapist at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in managing the psychological problems of patients through assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and available resources.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and effective treatment outcomes.
- Stay current with community resources and make referrals as needed to support patient care.
- Provide a continuum of short- and long-term psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment plans.
- Assess and respond to suicidal and homicidal risk situations in a timely and effective manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
- 6 months of experience in Substance Abuse Counseling or Certification as Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor or Substance Abuse Counselor in Training from Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
Work Environment:
This role requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking, as well as frequent use of vision and depth perception. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, twisting, and gripping may be required. Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds may also be necessary.
