About the Role

Cygnus Professionals Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Operations Center Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Security Operations Center (SOC), you will play a critical role in protecting our clients' networks and systems from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform continuous monitoring of critical systems to identify and mitigate potential security risks
  • Collaborate with the SOC team to develop and implement endpoint security protocols and incident response strategies
  • Work closely with the Security Operations Manager to ensure the SOC is adequately meeting operational demands
  • Support the development and implementation of vulnerability management programs
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies to ensure the SOC remains effective and efficient
Requirements
  • Five years of experience in information security, with a focus on endpoint security, incident response, and vulnerability management
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, as well as scripting languages
  • Experience with cloud environments, such as AWS or Azure
  • Proficiency in endpoint security platforms, such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, FireEye, or Crowdstrike
  • Experience with vulnerability testing products, such as Windows Defender TVM, Tenable Nessus, or Qualys
  • Desirable experience with SIEM platforms, such as Splunk, Azure Sentinel, or Sumo Logic
  • Relevant technical security certifications, such as GIAC, ISC2, or CompTIA
